Santa Barbara Dance Theater featured the work of Guest Choreographers Helen Simoneau and David Maurice, and a new premiere by Artistic Director Brandon Whited. Maurice will introduce “Partial Adaptation,” a dance work created in the realm of absurdist theater. Simoneau’s “DARLING” explored vulnerability and intimacy through the presence and absence of touch. The concert marked Santa Barbara Dance Theater’s first event of 2023.
