Over the course of the two-day festival, UCSB Theater & Dance presented staged readings of four brand new plays. Following each reading, there were talk-back conversations with the cast, crew, playwright, and director, to allow audience members to learn more. The festival was seeded in the Black Lives Matter movement, cultivated during the pandemic, and brought to life through a dedication to promote equity, diversity, and inclusion.
