A thousand cuts

The Carsey Wolf Center will be screening A Thousand Cuts, a documentary about Filipino-American journalist and Nobel Prize winner Maria Ressa, co-founder and CEO of online news site Rappler. The documentary explores her fight against journalistic persecution in the Philippines and the events leading up to Ressa’s arrest and later conviction. Director Ramona S. Diaz will join Film and Media Studies moderator Miguel Penabella for a post-screening discussion.
