IHC will be holding two staged readings of Cherrie Moraga’s “The Hungry Woman: A Mexican Medea,” which depicts a dystopian future in which the United States have created different territories for different races, and patriarchies are established. The play also explores beliefs and movements that helped establish Chicanx/Latinx programs throughout the Southwest, including the UCSB Chicano Studies Program, which celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2019.
