On April 25th from 7-10pm In Pollock Theatre, Lucy Fischer from English and Film Studies at the University of Pittsburgh will join Carsey-Wolf Center director Patrice Petro for a post-screening discussion of the film “New Waves: Hiroshima Mon Amor.” The film centers on an intense love affair between a French actress and a Japanese architect that is interrupted by the trauma of the world’s first atomic bomb. The film was directed by French New Wave director Alain Resnais and written by visionary novelist Marguerite Duras.
