As a part of the Michael Douglas Visiting Artist Lecture series, Judy Shepard, founder of the Matthew Shepard foundation, will be speaking about her son’s legacy. Shepard lost Matthew to a murder motivated by anti-gay hate. Now, she travels the country to speak about what people can do to make the world more accepting of everyone.

The talk will take place on February 22nd at 6pm in Hatlen Theater, following a panel discussion called "20 Years Later: Action and Remembrance" with Annika Speer, Rebecca Prather, and Kelli Coleman.
