On October 10th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Music room 1410 (The Wireframe and Digital Arts and Humanities Commons), immerse yourself in the life-size board game of “Bartertown,” a game and fictional land that asks how new networks of care and sociability can emerge in a world without money. Players must brave disasters such as climate change, a stock market crash or even a divorce, exchanging favors and resources as alternate forms of currency: property, inventiveness, mobility, generosity and influence. The workshop will take place during Professor Chang’s Fall 2019 “Green Games” course.
